Interim Head of FP&A – Finance Planning & Analysis

About the role

A leading business is seeking an Interim Head of FP&A to guide the finance function through a period of change and support the upcoming budgeting cycle. This short‑term, high‑impact role requires a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical capability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support budgeting, forecasting and planning activities during a transition period.
• Provide high‑quality financial analysis and insight to aid business decision‑making.
• Manage, interpret and extract value from large volumes of customer data.
• Build, maintain and enhance financial models for forecasting, budgeting and scenario analysis.
• Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to challenge assumptions and improve planning quality.
• Ensure budgeting deadlines and outputs are delivered to a high standard.
• Improve reporting processes and financial visibility during the transition.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FP&A roles.
• Strong experience handling large and complex customer data sets.
• Advanced capability in financial modelling.
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to work at pace and deliver in a changing environment.
• Credibility to work with stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
• Hands‑on, proactive and commercially aware approach.
