Interim Leasing and Letting Specialist – Commercial

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Commercial Specialist to lead the leasing and letting programme for a large‑scale real‑estate development on behalf of a Local Authority in London. The role is a six‑month contract with the possibility of extension and operates under IR35 inside.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full leasing and letting process for a 7‑floor office block, six additional units and a rooftop restaurant.
• Manage project budgets, timelines and tenant relations to achieve full occupancy.
• Coordinate and direct the work of traditional commercial agents, marketing activities and tenant onboarding.
• Develop and implement leasing strategies, including rent‑free periods, to attract suitable tenants.
• Negotiate lease terms and ensure compliance with commercial and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven commercial leasing experience, preferably within large‑scale office or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong understanding of the asset side of property business and rent‑free period structures.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to think creatively to secure 100 % occupancy with the right tenant mix.
• Experience with complex restaurant spaces such as rooftop venues is an advantage.
