Interim Management Accountant – Finance Support (Tiverton)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join a growing manufacturing business in Tiverton. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide hands‑on finance support during a critical coverage period, working four days on‑site and one day remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and deliver variance analysis with commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, assisting with year‑end and audit preparation.
• Partner with operational teams across the site to improve reporting and finance processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of month‑end close processes.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with financial systems/ERP.
