Interim Management Accountant

About the role

As an Interim Management Accountant in Manchester, you will support the finance department by preparing reports, managing month‑end processes and providing analysis to aid business decisions during a six‑month assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
• Manage month‑end processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support budget preparation and forecasting activities.
• Provide financial analysis to support key business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address financial queries.
• Assist with the preparation of audit materials as required.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
