Interim Procurement Lead – Marketing Spend (£6‑700/day)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to lead the marketing spend category for a leading financial services organisation on a 6‑month interim contract. The role will be based in Edinburgh, with a hybrid working pattern (2 days onsite, 3 days remote) and operates inside IR35.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver category strategies for marketing spend.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities and negotiate with suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction and total cost of ownership optimisation.
• Build and manage key supplier relationships and governance frameworks.
• Provide expert procurement advice to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure robust contract management, risk mitigation and compliance with procurement policies.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate across procurement and wider business teams to deliver outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong procurement experience within marketing, media or advertising categories.
• Proven track record in category management and strategic sourcing.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience managing complex supplier ecosystems.
• Solid understanding of contracts, commercial risk and governance.
