Interim Senior Legal Counsel – Remote (3‑month contract)

About the role

An established financial services business is seeking an Interim Senior Legal Counsel on a three‑month contract. The role is fully remote and will support strategic transactions, lending and commercial matters within a regulated environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders and the wider legal function.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting M&A transactions, corporate projects and strategic investment activity.
• Advising on lending and financing arrangements within a regulated financial services environment.
• Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and strategic agreements.
• Partnering with senior business stakeholders on complex cross‑functional projects.
• Advising on legal and regulatory considerations impacting the business.
• Managing external counsel where required and acting as a trusted business advisor.

Required profile

• Experience in financial services, consumer finance, fintech, payments or private practice with financial services exposure.
• Proven track record handling commercial contracts, corporate transactions and financing work.
• Ability to operate in a lean, fast‑paced environment and engage senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable managing external counsel and providing strategic legal advice.
