Interim Senior Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Management Accountant to join a fast‑growing, private‑equity‑backed multi‑site group. The role will be based in Bristol with a hybrid/remote working pattern and will support the finance team for a 3‑6 month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for all trading subsidiaries.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
• Produce business intelligence reports and performance dashboards at site level.
• Partner with budget holders to review cost trackers, forecasts and spending trends.
• Deliver flash reports, KPI analysis and ad‑hoc commercial insights.
• Review purchase ledger activity and ensure accurate cost allocation across entities.
• Support integration of newly acquired sites, including accounting system set‑up.
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking for new site openings and acquisitions.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and acquisition‑related finance work.

Required profile

• Qualified, part‑qualified or QBE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT acceptable).
• Proven experience in management accounting within a multi‑site or group environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to meet tight monthly deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with operational teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Exposure to SQL.
• Experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools.
