Interim Senior Marketing Category Manager

About the role

This interim position will lead marketing procurement activities for a fast‑moving organisation in Leeds. You will be responsible for two high‑impact programmes – a Data Monetisation initiative and a Print & POS transformation – delivering cost savings and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for marketing and data‑monetisation categories.
• Run a large‑scale RFP process, analysing market trends and data to inform decisions.
• Identify and capture cost‑saving opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Optimise supplier relationships, commercial arrangements and operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in category management within the marketing function.
• Hands‑on experience with data‑monetisation projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
