Interim Syndicate Accountant – 9‑12 month contract

About the role
This interim position supports a well‑established Lloyd's syndicate on a legacy project expected to run for 9‑12 months. You will work closely with the Syndicate Finance Manager to deliver accurate financial results and maintain the integrity of the syndicate’s ledger.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, deliver and present the syndicate’s financial results on time.
- Maintain the general ledger and complete all balance‑sheet reconciliations and controls.
- Support timely regulatory reporting to Lloyd's and the preparation of annual statutory financial statements.
- Assist with changes to core finance processes and harmonise data between the financial ledger and the data warehouse.
Required profile
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working within the Lloyd's insurance market.
- Strong understanding of UK Insurance GAAP and syndicate accounting.
- People‑management capability.
