Interim Talent and Resourcing Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Talent and Resourcing Manager to join the HR/OD Leadership Team of a London local authority. The role is hybrid, with three days per week onsite, and is initially for three months with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the council’s talent, recruitment and succession planning initiatives.
• Deliver the Inclusive Employer programme and a values‑based recruitment approach.
• Provide strategic leadership on workforce planning, talent acquisition and employer branding.
• Manage executive recruitment and specialist hard‑to‑fill campaigns.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on talent and resourcing strategy.
• Oversee workforce planning, pipelining and retention initiatives.
• Supervise recruitment systems, redeployment processes and data insight.
• Represent the council on London Councils recruitment networks.

Required profile

• Extensive expertise in recruitment, talent management, succession and workforce planning.
• Hands‑on experience leading recruitment teams.
• Knowledge of DBS, safeguarding processes and employment legislation.
• Strong strategic leadership, partnership working and stakeholder management.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Analytical capability with use of workforce data and insight.

What we offer

• Rate of £600 per day (umbrella, inside IR35).
• Hybrid working model – three days onsite.
