Interim Technology Transformation Programme Manager

About the role

A leading global pharmaceutical and life sciences organisation is running a major enterprise-wide transformation, with the strategy established and the focus now on delivery, accountability and results. 1st Executive is recruiting an Interim Technology Transformation Programme Manager to lead a complex portfolio of global technology and organisational transformation initiatives. The role is hybrid, with 2-3 days onsite in London, on a 12-month contract starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Drive global transformation delivery by owning integrated programme plans, milestones, dependencies and execution across multiple workstreams
• Hold senior leaders accountable, resolve bottlenecks and maintain momentum against demanding objectives
• Influence at executive level by working with senior business and technology leaders and presenting updates and recommendations to executive steering committees
• Identify cross-functional risks and dependencies and develop practical solutions
• Ensure technology and organisational change initiatives deliver measurable efficiencies, adoption and sustainable outcomes
• Build trusted relationships across Technology, HR, Finance, Communications and other global business functions

Required profile

• Proven track record leading large-scale, global technology and organisational transformation programmes
• Recent hands-on experience delivering complex programmes across multiple workstreams, not just PMO reporting and governance
• Confidence to challenge and hold senior executives and delivery leads accountable
• Experience in complex, matrixed global organisations and delivering change across multiple business functions
• Management consultancy experience is particularly attractive, especially with hands-on delivery experience
• Pharmaceutical sector experience is not essential
• Must be based in the UK and hold current, valid UK Right to Work

Required skills

• Strong programme planning, risk management and dependency management
• Problem-solving and commercial judgement to identify challenges and drive decisions

The contract pays up to 830 pounds per day (umbrella contractor, inside IR35).
