International Creative Writer (French) – Remote Freelance

About the role

We are seeking a native‑level French writer to join an international team developing conversational experiences for a cutting‑edge virtual assistant. This fully remote freelance position allows you to craft culturally relevant dialogue that resonates with French‑speaking users while preserving a consistent global voice.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit, and enhance creative dialogues for a virtual assistant, incorporating current events, cultural moments, and seasonal topics.
• Refresh and improve existing conversational content to keep it engaging and accurate.
• Maintain a consistent personality and tone across all dialogues, adapting naturally for French audiences.
• Translate and localise English dialogue into French, preserving intent, style, and cultural relevance.
• Review peer‑generated dialogue for editorial quality and consistency.
• Perform quality assurance checks before publication.
• Format and integrate dialogue into XML files using proprietary tools (training provided).

Required profile

• Native‑level French writing skills with strong command of written English.
• Excellent creative writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Critical thinking and a keen interest in current events, popular culture, and emerging trends.
• Openness to feedback and collaborative remote teamwork.
