Investigator – Supervisor – Operational Warden (Hate Crime)

About the role

This full‑time temporary position supports the Force’s commitment to improving hate‑crime reporting and outcomes. You will lead investigations into antisemitic and other priority hate‑crime offences, ensuring high standards of case management and victim safeguarding.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate antisemitic and other priority hate‑crime offences as directed.
• Manage investigations to a PIP 2 standard, handling serious and complex cases.
• Collaborate with the Warden Investigation Team, Neighbourhood Policing Teams and specialist operations.
• Allocate workload, oversee quality assurance and performance management for investigators.
• Support peak demand periods linked to religious dates, geopolitical events and community incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in investigative roles, preferably within hate‑crime or related areas.
• Strong understanding of investigative procedures and legal compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for victim and partner engagement.
• Ability to manage complex cases and work under pressure during peak periods.
• Commitment to professional development and knowledge sharing.
