Investment Legal Internship – London (July 2026)

About the role

Join the Investment Legal team in London as an intern and support the structuring and execution of investment transactions. You will work closely with investment professionals and various internal departments to ensure legal compliance and market‑standard documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist investment teams in structuring investments and aligning terms with market standards for the relevant asset class.
• Review, negotiate and help execute investment transaction documents, focusing on junior‑level documents such as NDAs, reliance letters, release letters, engagement letters and letters of intent.
• Liaise with Funds Legal, Corporate Legal, Tax, Compliance, Finance and Treasury to implement applicable regulations and internal procedures.
• Handle ad‑hoc legal queries from the London office and act as a point of contact for legal issues.
• Maintain and update the precedent legal database for the investment teams.
• Coordinate with supervisory authorities, public authorities, external legal advisers and service providers, including notaries and custodians.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable university with a strong academic record.
• LPC qualified, on track to pass the SQE, or following an equivalent legal qualification route.
• Prior experience as a paralegal, legal intern, or in a comparable legal support role is preferred.
• Excellent drafting, organisational and communication abilities.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Additional language skills (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian, German) are welcomed.
