Investment Portfolio Officer – Supply Chain

About the role

Great British Energy is seeking an Investment Portfolio Officer to lead the development and operation of its supply‑chain corporate investment monitoring and portfolio stewardship capability. Reporting to the Head of Investment Portfolio Management, you will be responsible for establishing standards, governance and quality assurance for monitoring the performance, risk and value of supply‑chain investments after financial close.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monitoring of individual supply‑chain corporate investments and the wider portfolio against approved investment cases, finance conditions, milestones and strategic objectives.
• Maintain portfolio records, trackers, action logs and governance documentation to provide an auditable evidence base for assessments and recommendations.
• Quality‑assure material portfolio information, challenging completeness and consistency of financial, commercial and risk reporting.
• Prepare and quality‑check regular reporting, briefings and recommendations for Investment Committee, senior management and the Board.
• Act as Board Observer for investees where required, identifying emerging issues and risks.
• Identify, assess and escalate portfolio issues such as financial under‑performance, liquidity pressures or covenant concerns.
• Lead response for off‑track investments, coordinating enhanced monitoring, remedial action planning and escalation.
• Own and continuously develop the investment monitoring framework, setting standards and technical leadership for consistent application across the portfolio.
