IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect

About the role

AVEVA is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect to lead the design and evolution of its hybrid infrastructure platforms. This senior technical position combines hands‑on engineering with strategic solution design, supporting on‑premises data‑center, virtualization, storage and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain reference architectures and target‑state designs for VMware VCF 9.0.
• Develop the Aria Operations observability strategy, including telemetry standards and capacity governance.
• Design the VCF automation platform, covering catalog, templates, guardrails and operational model.
• Create backup and recovery architectures using Veeam and Data Domain, ensuring DR readiness.
• Architect hybrid‑cloud solutions across Azure and AWS, covering connectivity, identity, monitoring and security baselines.
• Define VDI/RDS standards for Omnissa Horizon, Workspace ONE and Microsoft RDS, including scalability, security and DR considerations.
• Establish a golden‑image strategy using Packer and VMware Content Library with versioning and hardening.
• Lead solution design for major infrastructure programmes, migrations and technology refreshes.
• Act as escalation point for complex incidents and drive problem elimination in ServiceNow.
• Set engineering standards for automation and configuration management.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in data‑center, virtualization and hybrid‑cloud environments.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and resilient infrastructure solutions.
• Strong leadership skills to guide engineering teams and influence technical decisions.
• Experience managing large‑scale infrastructure programmes and technology refresh initiatives.
