IT Internal Audit VP – Financial Services

About the role

This 6‑month contract offers a senior‑level professional the chance to lead complex IT audit engagements for a leading global investment bank. Working in a hybrid model (2‑3 days onsite), you will provide independent assurance over the bank’s technology environment across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end IT audit engagements, from planning and fieldwork to reporting and follow‑up.
• Act as Auditor in Charge, overseeing delivery and supporting junior team members.
• Assess technology risks and control effectiveness across infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms and third‑party services.
• Produce high‑quality audit reports and present findings to senior management and the Group Audit Committee.
• Validate remediation actions and ensure timely closure of recommendations.
• Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of the Internal Audit function through coaching and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in IT internal audit, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Proven track record delivering audits of infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity and IT General Controls.
• Deep understanding of IT governance frameworks and relevant regulations (e.g., DORA, GDPR).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leaders.
• Experience mentoring or leading audit teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of COBIT and IT governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with DORA and GDPR regulatory requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Understanding of IT General Controls (ITGCs).
