IT Project Manager – Global IT Modernisation

About the role

Alfred H Knight is seeking an IT Project Manager to join its Technology Delivery team at the global head office in Prescot, Merseyside. The role will drive high‑visibility IT modernisation projects across more than 50 countries, working on‑site three days a week with two days of remote flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Own simultaneous, high‑visibility projects spanning custom software engineering, digital transformation, cloud infrastructure rollouts and advanced data platforms.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery, coordinating multi‑disciplinary technical teams (BAs, developers, testers, infrastructure leads) and senior business stakeholders.
• Manage project schedules, resources, capacity and risk using recognised project‑management frameworks.
• Present project dashboards and updates to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering multiple IT projects across software development, infrastructure and system implementations.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, documentation standards and risk‑management best practices.
• Hands‑on experience in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills with the ability to motivate cross‑functional teams.
