IT Security Trainer

About the role

The organisation, a global leader in the energy sector, is seeking an IT Security Trainer to own and evolve its security awareness programme. Based in Aberdeen with a hybrid working model, you will combine cyber‑security expertise with people‑engagement skills to shape a stronger security culture across thousands of employees.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver a full suite of security awareness activities, including phishing campaigns, email‑security training and an annual cyber‑security awareness month.
• Create engaging content such as blog posts, webinars, presentations and other creative formats.
• Develop and run cyber‑security drill exercises for both IT and business audiences, feeding lessons learned back into the programme.
• Build and lead an internal Cyber Champions Network to embed security best practices throughout the business.
• Manage communications with key stakeholders and provide evidence‑based feedback on programme effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience planning, creating and delivering tailored IT or cyber‑security training to diverse audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to large groups.
• Experience running and managing phishing awareness campaigns.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical business users.
• Background in or strong interest in cyber‑security.
• Familiarity with Immersive Crisis Simulations platform is advantageous.
