IT Service Desk Technician

About the role

The 1st/2nd Line IT Service Desk Technician will provide high‑quality support to over 220 employees across seven offices. Based in Marks Tey, the role involves both remote and on‑site assistance, ensuring users receive prompt, professional help with hardware, software and Microsoft 365 services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first and second‑line support via the Service Desk portal, telephone and in‑person.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed timeframes.
• Troubleshoot computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers and connectivity issues.
• Configure, deploy and maintain laptops, desktops and mobile devices for new starters and leavers.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including user accounts, licences, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Support device management through Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Assist with system monitoring, security updates, backup and recovery processes.
• Identify recurring issues, create documentation and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT Service Desk, Helpdesk or Technical Support role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
• Windows operating system and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Intune and Windows Autopilot device management.
• Hardware and software diagnostics.
• Network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Backup and recovery procedures.
