IT Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Service Engineer to join a well‑established organisation with a strong social purpose. The role is mobile across the North East of England, providing desk‑based, remote and on‑site technical support to a geographically dispersed user base.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve escalated Service Desk tickets and provide 2nd‑line support.
• Deploy and configure IT services at new and existing sites.
• Support hardware installations, upgrades, replacements and fulfilment.
• Assist with site decommissioning projects.
• Deliver technical assistance to users across multiple locations, travelling throughout the region.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT Service Desk or 2nd‑line support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows 10/11 environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite and related services.
• Ability to manage incidents, requests and problems within an ITSM framework.
• Relevant IT qualifications (BTEC, A‑Level, HNC) and preferably ITIL v4 Foundation.
