IT Solutions Engineer – Aberdeen Area

About the role

We are looking for an IT Solutions Engineer to join our Aberdeen team. You will act as the technical expert for our clients, splitting your time between remote support and on‑site delivery across a range of environments from small SMEs to large enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of IT projects, from minor upgrades to major infrastructure transformations.
• Serve as the go‑to expert for escalations and complex technical challenges.
• Design and implement best‑practice solutions across networking, cloud, voice and server infrastructure.
• Conduct site surveys, audits and technical scoping sessions with clients.
• Collaborate with project managers, third‑line engineers and service‑desk teams.
• Develop training materials and documentation to share expertise across the business.
• Build lasting client relationships through exceptional technical delivery and customer service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT and telecom support or delivery roles.
• Subject‑matter expertise in at least one area such as networking, voice, server & storage, or cloud technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional overnight stays on larger projects.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a passion for staying ahead of technology trends.
