IT Support Engineer – 3‑month contract in Liverpool

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a fast‑paced Service Desk team in Liverpool on a three‑month contract. You will be the first point of contact for all IT queries, delivering prompt, professional support to employees across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end users via phone, email and remote tools.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests through to completion.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Support Windows desktop environments and core business applications.
• Use ServiceNow (or other ticketing systems) to manage tickets in line with service levels.
• Assist with iManage troubleshooting when required.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technical teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and update knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure a high‑quality support service.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 support and administration.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms.
• Preferred experience with iManage.
• Strong customer‑facing service orientation.
• Experience supporting Windows desktops and core business applications.
• Active Directory and user administration experience.
• General hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with remote support tools.
