IT Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Technician to join a busy, supportive IT team within a well‑established educational environment. Working closely with the IT Manager, you will help keep the school’s technology infrastructure running smoothly and securely for staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality 1st and 2nd line IT support across the school.
• Assist the IT Manager in maintaining availability and security of all IT systems and digital services.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services and support end‑users.
• Manage Azure and on‑premises Active Directory, Group Policy and AD Federation Services.
• Support Microsoft Teams and SharePoint in classroom settings.
• Deploy and manage devices using SCCM, Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Maintain VMware virtual server infrastructure.
• Keep Windows Server and desktop operating systems up to date.
• Assist with data protection, cyber‑security and safeguarding compliance.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation and user guides.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Senior IT Technician or similar support role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
