IT Workshop Apprentice

About the role

This apprenticeship supports the workshop team at Microminder, a fast‑growing managed service provider. You will help with ordering, stock control and occasional field work while gaining hands‑on experience in IT hardware and software support.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange deliveries and stock dispatch for engineers and clients.
• Work with serial numbers, configure, test and build PCs.
• Assist engineers with hardware and software installations and attend call‑outs.
• Provide support on the desk when required and complete related reports.
• Support the Stock Controller with goods receipt, booking and allocation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A‑C), including Maths and English.
• No existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship.
• Ability to provide official documentation for any international qualifications.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
