Junior Accountant – Hybrid, Clear Progression Path

About the role

This is a permanent Junior Accountant position with a leading international professional services firm. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the Didcot office and two days remote. It offers a clear progression path into a Client Services Accountant role and exposure to top‑tier clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist a portfolio of clients and support the production of monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables.
• Communicate regularly with clients to ensure accurate, timely deliverables and respond to queries.
• Prepare client management accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax, partnership tax, P11Ds, PSAs and FCA returns.
• Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with clients and auditors for timely filing.
• Coordinate with colleagues to ensure efficient delivery of client work and handle ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice, finance department or bookkeeping role is advantageous.
• Open to graduates, trainees or early‑career candidates willing to start a qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and a detail‑oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid UK work permit.
