Junior Automation QA Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Automation QA Engineer to join a global client’s QA automation team in London. You will work alongside experienced engineers to expand a Python‑based automation framework and increase test coverage for key products. The role is hands‑on, requiring you to write, maintain and improve automated test suites that support product quality at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance and extend an existing Python automation framework.
• Develop, maintain and execute automated test cases and scripts.
• Analyse data flows using proxy and debugging tools.
• Write clear bug reports and communicate issues effectively.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA peers to improve test coverage and quality.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices.

Required profile

• Some prior experience with QA automation (professional, academic or personal projects).
• Strong interest in software quality, testing and automation.
• Logical problem‑solving ability and clear communication skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure and explaining technical reasoning.
• Willingness to complete a live Python coding exercise during interview.

Required skills

• Python programming (essential).
• Experience with proxy or debugging tools.
• Familiarity with mobile automation tools (nice to have).
