Junior Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering team delivering bespoke machinery for the pharmaceutical sector. You will gain hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to installation and customer handover.

Key responsibilities

• Design bespoke machinery using 3D CAD software.
• Support projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Assist with project engineering and delivery activities.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare engineering documentation and contribute to design reviews.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and customer handovers.

Required profile

• Experience as a Junior, Graduate, or Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Background designing special‑purpose or bespoke machinery (industry, placement or apprenticeship).
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a 3D CAD package.
