Junior Discretionary Trader – London

About the role

Join a global investment management firm as a Junior Discretionary Trader in Central London. You will work alongside senior discretionary traders, receiving on‑desk training and mentorship while contributing to the management of multi‑asset portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior traders and quantitative researchers to identify and evaluate new trading opportunities.
• Generate P&L tracking and attribution reports for trade ideas.
• Monitor portfolio performance and produce risk analysis reports.
• Hedge book exposures and allocate hedges appropriately.
• Execute large or complex trades that cannot be automated due to liquidity or complexity constraints.

Required profile

• Recent or soon‑to‑be graduate with relevant coursework, internship, or experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, or Operations Research.
