Junior Facilities and Maintenance Technician

About the role

Bond Williams is seeking a motivated Junior Facilities and Maintenance Technician to join a growing team delivering high‑quality maintenance services across multiple sites. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on training and the chance to develop a career in facilities management.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out basic building repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Support routine inspections and testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other safety equipment.
• Maintain logbooks, forms and electronic records accurately.
• Assist with the induction and supervision of external contractors.
• Respond to help‑desk requests such as meeting‑room setups or furniture moves.
• Contribute to small projects, including office or lab relocations and refurbishments.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job.
• Good communication skills.
• Interest in hands‑on maintenance work.
• Availability to work 8 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday, with occasional overtime.
• Willingness to travel regularly to sites in Abingdon and Didcot.

Required skills
