Junior Facilities & Maintenance Technician – Oxford

About the role

This junior position offers a great entry point into facilities and maintenance, providing on‑the‑job training and the chance to develop a long‑term career. You will work primarily in Oxford with regular travel to sites in Abingdon and Didcot.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out basic building repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Support routine inspections and testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other safety equipment.
• Maintain logbooks, forms and electronic records.
• Assist with induction and supervision of external contractors.
• Respond to helpdesk requests such as meeting‑room setups and furniture moves.
• Help with small projects, including office/lab relocations and refurbishments.

• Genuine interest in hands‑on maintenance work.
