Junior Finance & Accounts Payable Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Finance & Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team in East Sussex on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with some office or finance experience who wants to develop a career in finance.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices in the finance system and ensure correct approvals.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and maintain supplier records.
• Assist with supplier payments and respond to straightforward supplier queries.
• Help resolve invoice or payment discrepancies and file finance records.
• Use Excel and the finance system to update and check information.
• Support the wider finance team with general finance administration.

Required profile

• Interest in developing a career in finance.
• Some experience in an office, finance or administration environment.
• Comfortable working with numbers and basic financial information.
• Accurate, organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication with colleagues and suppliers.
• Reliable, willing to learn and enjoy teamwork.
