Junior IT Support Engineer (1st Line) – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Engineer to join our service delivery team in Manchester. This first‑line position blends service‑desk responsibilities with occasional on‑site visits, offering a varied and customer‑focused experience for an early‑career IT professional.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and prioritise support tickets efficiently.
• Provide first‑line technical assistance to end users.
• Support Microsoft 365 environments and basic networking issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware problems and assist with device setup, repairs, and installations.
• Deliver excellent customer service via phone, email, and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required.
• Support customers remotely and on‑site, including site visits.

Required profile

• Basic experience with Microsoft 365 administration or support.
• Understanding of IT hardware and networking fundamentals.
• Comfortable with regular site visits and holding a full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Logical troubleshooting approach and effective ticket management.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
