Junior Java Developer

About the role

Our client is seeking a Junior Java Developer to join a forward‑thinking technology team on a permanent basis. The role is ideal for a recent graduate or a candidate with limited commercial experience who wants to develop full‑stack Java/J2EE skills and work on cloud‑based projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture design to coding, testing and deployment.
• Develop and maintain modern Java/J2EE applications and RESTful web services.
• Build integrations with multiple systems and contribute to cloud‑based solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, hybrid working environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Technical Science or equivalent experience.
• Recent graduate or a few years of commercial experience in software development.
• Strong interest in expanding technical skills and staying ahead of emerging trends.

Required skills

• Java and J2EE development.
• RESTful Web Services.
• Front‑end frameworks such as React and Struts.
• Testing practices including JUnit, integration, system and regression testing.
• Version control tools like Git and SVN.
• IDE experience with Eclipse.
• Familiarity with additional languages (C++, Python, Perl, JavaScript) is a plus.
