Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

As a Junior Legal Counsel you will support Edenred PayTech’s compliance with GDPR, global privacy legislation and the upcoming EU AI Act. You will help embed privacy‑by‑design principles, ensure effective governance and align the organisation with its regulatory roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Support privacy risk management activities, including DPIAs and related assessments.
• Handle data subject rights requests end‑to‑end, delivering timely and accurate responses.
• Develop, review and implement privacy and AI‑related policies and procedures.
• Maintain records of processing activities and assist governance frameworks.
• Monitor regulatory developments (GDPR, e‑privacy, AI Act) and translate them into internal guidance.
• Provide privacy and AI compliance advice to colleagues across the business.
• Collaborate with DPO offices to ensure consistent compliance approaches.
• Support privacy awareness initiatives and training programmes.

Required profile

• Law degree from a UK or European institution.
• Qualification in new technology law and/or certification (e.g., CIPP) in data protection and AI governance.
• Extensive experience handling personal data protection issues in a law firm, international company or Data Protection Authority.
• In‑depth knowledge of GDPR and the EU AI Act with proven operational application.
• Experience working in a software product development environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated integrity, collaboration and commitment to responsible data use.
