Junior Production Merchandiser – Homeware & Accessories

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing homeware and accessories business that needs a Junior Production Merchandiser to support its busy, collaborative team. This hybrid role (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) offers the chance to manage purchase orders from start to finish while working closely with overseas factories and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Create, monitor and update purchase orders through the entire production lifecycle.
• Liaise daily with overseas factories and suppliers to track production progress, milestones and delivery dates.
• Manage critical production paths, ensuring key deadlines are met.
• Verify supplier acknowledgements, quantities, costs, lead times and delivery information.
• Identify and resolve production or delivery issues in partnership with suppliers and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate systems and reporting for clear stakeholder updates.
• Collaborate with merchandising, planning, logistics, quality and sales teams to keep orders moving efficiently.
• Build strong supplier relationships and support initiatives to improve on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in production merchandising, buying, purchasing or supply‑chain roles.
• Confidence managing purchase orders through the production lifecycle.
• Hands‑on experience communicating directly with factories or overseas suppliers.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple orders.
• Proactive, ownership‑driven and comfortable escalating issues quickly.
• Excellent communicator who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
