About the role

IPS Group is seeking a Junior Property & Casualty Underwriter to join its growing team. This role offers hands‑on experience with a diverse commercial portfolio, allowing you to develop technical underwriting expertise while working closely with experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess new business, renewals and mid‑term adjustments against underwriting appetite and governance standards.
• Negotiate terms with brokers, identify opportunities and deliver high‑quality service.
• Support senior underwriters on complex cases and referrals.
• Contribute to profitable portfolio growth and maintain underwriting discipline.

Required profile

• 1–2 years’ experience in commercial insurance, either in underwriting or broker environments.
• Strong analytical mindset, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in risk evaluation.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills
