Junior Sister / Charge Nurse – Interventional Radiology

About the role

Join the specialist Interventional Radiology team at Frimley Park Hospital as a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse. You will provide expert clinical care, lead the nursing team and coordinate daily operations across angiography, CT, ultrasound and nurse‑led sedation services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in line with the NMC Code of Conduct and HCPC standards.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate complex patient care without supervision for a defined patient group.
• Lead and monitor performance and standards of the Interventional Radiology nursing team.
• Support the Band 7 Team Leader in service development and staff development.
• Deputise for the Band 7 Team Leader, attend meetings and maintain an organised workforce.
• Manage day‑to‑day operational requirements, optimise room utilisation and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required profile

• Registered nurse with experience in a specialist clinical setting.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and capacity to work independently.
• Commitment to high standards of safety, quality and evidence‑based practice.
• Willingness to support flexible working arrangements.
