Junior Social Media Manager

About the role

Footballco is seeking a Junior Social Media Manager to join the GOAL content team in the UK. You will help shape daily social output, collaborate with production and other teams, and ensure GOAL’s voice resonates across a variety of platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Execute GOAL’s social media strategy on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Snapchat, Twitch, Discord and Spotify.
• Publish posts throughout the day, manage community interactions and create engaging copy and graphics.
• Support the production team with insights, questions and assets for shoots.
• Plan and script both long‑form and short‑form video content, providing detailed briefs to post‑production.
• Contribute to content ideation, ensuring output is on‑brand, innovative and platform‑native.
• Advise on captions, thumbnails and content flow to maximise reach for a UK audience.
• Monitor performance data, extract actionable insights and refine publishing plans.
• Share emerging social trends and platform updates to keep GOAL ahead globally.

Required profile

• Passion for football with strong knowledge of the UK and global game.
• Excellent written English and ability to craft accurate, compelling copy under pressure.
• Detail‑oriented, creative and comfortable working independently.
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends around major football events.
