Kitchen Extract Auditor (TR19 Grease)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced team member to support the delivery of independent kitchen extract system inspections in accordance with the TR19® Grease Standard. Bureau Veritas inspects commercial kitchen extract systems on behalf of landlords and property owners across more than 150 outlets in London, typically outside normal restaurant hours.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake independent TR19® Grease inspections of commercial kitchen extract systems, assessing condition, cleanliness and compliance.
• Record findings accurately and prepare comprehensive inspection reports for clients, usually delivered by the next working day.
• Obtain access, maintenance records and supporting documentation from site representatives and liaise professionally with tenants and facilities teams.

Required profile

• Sound understanding of the TR19® Grease Standard and commercial kitchen extract components such as canopy filters, extract fans, UV filtration and fire suppression systems.
• Relevant qualification – BESA Grease Hygiene Technician (GHT) or Grease Hygiene Operative (GHO) – or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage unsocial hours (2‑3 nights per week) and submit reports from home.
• Strong attention to detail and report‑writing skills.
