About the role

We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Porter to become an essential part of our kitchen team at The Coal Shed, a popular steak and seafood restaurant in Brighton. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs to deliver high‑quality dishes made from locally sourced ingredients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation and plating support.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and kitchen floors.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with restaurant policies.
• Support a fast‑paced environment while keeping a professional demeanor.
