KS1 Teacher (Year 1) – September Start

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic KS1 (Year 1) Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Burnley from September 2026. The role is initially for the first term on a full‑time basis, with the possibility of extension. You will work in a supportive environment with easy access to public transport.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 1 curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and support pupil progress, providing timely feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the wider school community.
• Support and attend extracurricular activities and school events as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
• Passion for primary education and supporting young learners.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality teaching and learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
