KS2 Teaching Assistant (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time position supports a one‑form entry primary school in Amersham for the 2026/27 academic year. Working closely with class teachers, you will help pupils achieve their individual learning goals in a calm, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with day‑to‑day classroom activities and learning support.
• Deliver small‑group and one‑to‑one intervention sessions for Key Stage 2 pupils.
• Prepare and organise learning resources alongside teaching staff.
• Promote positive behaviour, classroom routines and pupil independence.
• Collaborate with teachers and, where appropriate, parents to support pupil progress.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting Key Stage 2, or transferable EYFS/KS1 experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, organised and committed to children’s development.
