PPA Teacher – Maternity Cover (Full‑Time)

About the role

This temporary position provides a Primary PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover for a well‑established primary school in Amersham. The role starts in September or October 2026 and offers flexibility for an experienced primary teacher to support the school during a maternity leave.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons during teachers’ PPA time across multiple year groups.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement in each session.
• Build positive relationships with pupils in various classes.
• Provide constructive feedback to class teachers after each lesson.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or HLTA Level 4, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience teaching in a UK primary school.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Confidence teaching across different primary age groups.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to the school’s timetable.
