Lab Manager – Molecular Immunology

About the role

The Sir William Dunn School of Pathology is seeking a Laboratory Manager to support the Molecular Mucosal Immunology group. You will ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory, coordinate activities across Oxford and the Botnar Institute in Basel, and have the opportunity to contribute to research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day laboratory activities, including equipment maintenance and consumables management.
• Manage biosafety level II procedures and in‑vivo mouse model work.
• Maintain laboratory documentation, compliance records, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate experimental work between Oxford and Basel sites.
• Support team members in experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
• Assist in planning and delivering larger translational projects.

Required profile

• Experience with animal work in the UK and biosafety level II environments.
• Strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or immunology.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international research setting.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
