Lead AI Engineer, Game Generation

About the role

Own the end‑to‑end AI game generation pipeline, driving up playability while cutting generation costs, and lead a small engineering team to ship browser‑based games that run reliably from prompt to play.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the full AI generation loop – generation, validation, repair and evaluation.
• Develop automated validation and repair pipelines for AI‑generated code and assets.
• Optimize cost per generation through tiered model routing, caching, distillation and other LLM economics techniques.
• Integrate AI generation pipelines directly with web game runtimes such as Three.js, Phaser, Babylon and WebGL.
• Collaborate with procedural content generation systems for game mechanics and assets.
• Lead a small team of 2‑3 engineers working on the AI generation stack.
• Ship production‑grade code that compiles and runs complex AI‑generated outputs in browser environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping text‑to‑game or AI game‑creation technology at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to own a full AI generation loop and reduce cost per generation while maintaining quality.
• Hands‑on engineering experience with web game runtimes (Three.js, Phaser, Babylon, WebGL) or procedural content generation.
• Solid understanding of ML mathematics and LLM systems beyond prompt engineering.
• Full‑time employment background (not consultant, agency or B2B setup).
