Lead DevOps Engineer – Cardiff (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing organisation in Cardiff. The role is hybrid, with two days per week on site, and offers the chance to shape the company’s DevOps strategy across on‑premise and Azure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Manage infrastructure on‑premise and in Microsoft Azure.
• Support containerised micro‑services architectures with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement automation for source control, build, test and deployment processes.
• Drive non‑functional testing covering performance, scalability, security and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and modern software engineering architecture.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Solid knowledge of both on‑premise and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with containerisation and micro‑services (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Good grasp of non‑functional testing categories.
