Lead UX Designer – Retail & eCommerce

About the role
We are partnering with a leading consumer business to find a Lead UX Designer who will shape the digital customer experience across web and mobile channels. Working closely with product, engineering and commercial teams, you will create intuitive, data‑driven designs that deliver measurable business value.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end UX projects from research and discovery through to final designs.
- Conduct user research, usability testing and customer interviews to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high‑fidelity designs using Figma.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers and business stakeholders to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
- Champion UX best practices and continuously improve design standards and processes.
- Use customer insight, analytics and testing to validate ideas and optimise digital experiences.
- Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
- Support the delivery of engaging, accessible and user‑centred digital products.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design or a similar role.
- Proven experience designing customer‑facing digital products in ecommerce, retail or other consumer‑focused environments.
- Strong understanding of the full UX process from research to delivery.
- Excellent proficiency with Figma for wireframing, prototyping and high‑fidelity UI design.
- Experience working with cross‑functional product and engineering teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders.
- Data‑informed design approach using customer insight and testing.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a passion for outstanding user experiences.

What we offer
- Salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 per year, dependent on experience.
- Hybrid working model – two days per week in the London office.
