Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement Facilitator

About the role

This newly created permanent position will be based on a large manufacturing site in Manchester. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, embed lean thinking across multiple divisions and help shape a culture of operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead CI projects using lean, kaizen, 5S/6S and other problem‑solving tools.
• Design and implement a sustainable 5S system across the facility.
• Coach, train and mentor staff to embed lean principles in daily work.
• Improve safety, quality and overall performance of the site.
• Support the rollout of continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing divisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Experience designing and rolling out Lean/CI/5S systems.
• Demonstrable track record of delivering lean or continuous improvement projects.
• Formal lean qualifications are preferred.

• Salary £35,000‑£40,000 per year.

• 37‑hour work week, Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4 pm (3:30 pm on Fridays).
