Learning & Development Assistant – Vocational Learning Assessor

About the role

This permanent position is based at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine, supporting vocational learning across the NHS board. You will work closely with the Learning and Development Advisor to guide managers and candidates through vocational qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance on vocational qualifications to line and service managers.
• Conduct workplace assessments for candidates undertaking SVQ/MAs in Business & Administration and Learning & Development (SCQF Levels 6‑7).
• Deliver learning support and mentorship to candidates throughout their studies.
• Collaborate with the Business Support Manager to meet operational needs of training and education centres.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, flexible team player.
• Working knowledge of business and administration procedures, including SVQ/MA delivery.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time‑management abilities.
• Possession of a valid UK driving licence.
